Show WOOL IN THE PAST YEAR. Fenno Bros. & Child, of Boston, Mass., say: Looking back ovor the past twelvemonths we certainly have experienced a Most remarkable remark-able year, one that in all probability tho like of which wo shall not eee again. Tho volumo of wool sold has been, according to tho American Amer-ican Cotton and wool Reporter, I about 70 psr cent more than for the heaviest previous year in this ' market, reaching tho large total of some 525,000,000 lbs. Prices have, under the influence of the re-imposition of the duties, advanced with only occasional slight lecessions, all along tho lino from 50 to 55 per cent, almost rivalling the great advance that occured in the early sixties during tho progress of the Civil War, and giving back to the wool industry the breath of life which was fast leaving it.
