Show Murders By Cowards- - There seldom is a murder committed com-mitted by a brave man. Most murderers are cowards. There seems to be at present a' mania sweeping over the land leading men to kill their wives and children. child-ren. In such cases itx frequently happens that the man winds up the business by putting a bullet in his own brain . It is always unfortunate unfortu-nate that he puts off his own kill, ing until the last. Had he begun with himself the others would have been saved. It requires no bravery brav-ery for a man to fire a shot into the heart of her whom he has promised prom-ised to love and protect, and who is weak, wholly unarmed, and having hav-ing no warning of the murderous intent. It is the cowardly tiger in his " nature that causes him to spring upon the innocent and helpless. There is but one class of murders that is more cowardly and base, and that is where young men kill those who refuse to marry mar-ry them. The heart that could conceive of such a killing is black indeed. There is no manhood in his makeup. He is not only a vil-lian vil-lian by nature, but one of the most dastardly character. The very act proves that the lady was right in rejecting him, for it would have been hell upon earth to have been wedded to him. j The wretches who perpetrate these crimes try to work them- selves up to believe they did right but it is only the counseling of Satan Sa-tan to his willing tools. There is nothing but the blackness of evil in them. Why does a man kill the one he pretends to love? The act itself proves not only the cowardly cow-ardly nature, but one of supreme selfishness. There is no selfishness selfish-ness more brutal than his. Some times these base creatures are sought to be made heroes of by weak and silly people. All such efforts encourage a further display of cruelty, the more cruel, the greater hero. Every such human hyena ought to be tnught that there is no sympathy for him that he richly deserves to bo in a j lawful way, placed upon the other 1 side of the gates of death that , his race should become extinct.1, Sympathy is wasted upon all such I characters. They have no consci-' ence, they have no feeling, but that of the brutish beast of the lowest and ;most vicious order. Com- mon wealth. I |
