( PREAMBLE: J We -whose names are hereunto i subscribed, realizing the importance impor-tance of accumulating means for taking us to our fields of labor, should we be called upon missions, to preach the gospel, in this and foreign lands, do hereby associate together for the purpose of mutually mutual-ly saving and collecting together the means for this purpose. As members of this association we hereby, each and every one of us, adopt the following ilules, and agree to abide by their provisions, pro-visions, and also tho provisions of auy amendments legally added thereto. Ilule 1. Any mombers of the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints" in good standing may be allowed to contribute and receive re-ceive the benefit of this fund, in the manner provided in these rules. All applications for membership shall bo made to the President of the Association who shall present them to be voted upon at the next meeting. No applicant shall be mission, shall receive whatever - means the President of the association asso-ciation may think proper, and shall receive from time to time, theraaf-ter, theraaf-ter, an equal amount of any means that may be spared from the treasury, treas-ury, except in an extreme case, when it shall be left to the discretion discre-tion of the President and Secretary-Treasurer. Piulo 7. All payments shall be made by tho Secetery-Treasurer upon order signed by the President. Presi-dent. Ilule 8. The senior President of the 29th Quorum of Seventies I shall be President of this association associa-tion provided he is a member thereof, there-of, and tho Secretary of tho 29th Quorum of Seventies shall be tho Secretery-Treasurer of this association asso-ciation with the same proviso, but in case either or both oE the i foregoing officers not being members, mem-bers, that the office or offices shall be filled at the first regular meeting meet-ing of the association, in each year; but should n vacancy occur in either of said offices, a special meeting may bo called to fill said vacancy, until the next regular meeting. Ilule 9. these rules may be amended by a two-thirds vote of tho members present at any regular reg-ular meeting after having given . . . .days notice. llulo 10. Tho president, secre-tarv-treasnrer shall make a report of! their official acts at the first meeting in each year or oftener as I required. Ilule 11. The regular meeting ! of this association shall be on Monday, Mon-day, at 1 P. M. at the close of each general Conference of St. George Stake, in St. George, and tho President Pres-ident or any live members of said Association may call a special meeting at any time by giving one week's notice. admitted who receives four or more adverse votes. Tho initiation fee shall be 25 cents. Rule 2. The monthly dues of each member shall be 50 cents per month, payable to the Secretary-Treasurer, Secretary-Treasurer, on the last day of each month in which they fall duo. When any member is pix months in arrears in payment of dues it shall bo the duty of tho Secretary-Treasurer Secretary-Treasurer to report the same to tho association and the delinquent shall not be entitled to any of the benefits bene-fits of the fund until such dues are paid. llulo 3.
