The great American Eagle returned re-turned on Sunday afternoon, about 4 o'clock, and lit on top of the ball of the Tabernacle spire, remaining there until Monday morning, when he took his departure, only to return re-turn again to his favorite resting place on Tuesday afternoon. He remained until Wednesday morning, morn-ing, when he soared off eastward, vs the clock struck 8 o'clock. Many people call these hard times, and not a few have fears of j harder times coming,' but those who profess to know, say that a visit from the great American Eagle betokens good times, and if there is any truth in the omen, surely his making his third visit ought to bring us better times in the near future, if he carries good . luck wherever he goes; and one thing sure we need all the good |
