Show John A Kunzler, in from Toquerville, gave us a pleasant call on 23rd Inst. He reports trees in leaf and also in bloom, with all growing verdure doning its coat of green. Trimming of trees and vines are completed and farmers are busy plowing preparatory to putting in their spring crops. About half of the apprlcot crop was destroyed by frost. Work on the Hurricane canal is being pushed energetically with the hopes of having it ready by another spring. Heber L. Naegle, who has been on a mission to Germany was expected home on the 23rd tnst. lie was released to return home on account of the death of his wife. Walter Slack left on the 16th inst to go on a mission to the Southern ' States. Health of the people are on the improve. Measles is about all gone. Lorenzo Slack has rented Mr. Greger-sons Greger-sons place at Bcllevue, he taking possession poss-ession on the 13th inst. |
