Show A Lightning Strike. Yeslers day about 1.15 o'clock, p. m. a bolt of lightning struck the mam building of the Provo Woolen Factory; commencing com-mencing at the top of the flag pole, and following it down to its bottom, which rests on the floor of the upper story, thence east along the timbers that supports the floor of the fourth story, tearing and slivering it terribly. After reaching the east wall, the lightning ran down the shafting of an elevator to the second floor and stopped. stop-ped. Mr. Andrew W atson, who was sitting in a window about 12 feet trom where the lightning ran down the elevator, was stunned for a few minutes, and received two slight wounds, one on the side of the head, and one on the left elbow. No serious damage was done farther than the shattering of some of the timbers of the floor and elevator. Provo En-quirer, En-quirer, August 21. |
