Show Theodore Is In Line For Government Steel Bridge Indian Gffiice Asks For Report and Supt. Means Recommends One Across the Duchesne and one on the Strawberry. Recently the residents of Theodore forwarded a widely signed petition to the Indian department asking for an appropriation ap-propriation of $25,000 to construct con-struct a bridge across the Duchesne Du-chesne river. The office has requested re-quested a report from Supt. H. C. Means. Mr. Means has gone the Theodore people one better and has recommended not only, a bridge across the Duchesne but also one across the Strawberry. Straw-berry. That the office of the Indian department has taken sufficient interest in the matter to ask for a report would indicate that Theodore stands an excellent chance to secure the appropriation appropri-ation asked for. While the town has bridges across both streams, which may be sufficient, for immediate im-mediate necessity, the town, being a government townsite, is entitled to consideration at the hands of ithe department. Backed up ny the department's representatives, it is more than probable that the present wooden wood-en structures wil1 be replaced by substantial steel spans. : c - |
