The same trio of stars will appear ap-pear in Offenbach's dramatic light opera which recently was made into a topflight English motion picture by J Arthur Rank. Mr. Rounseville, who starred in the film, will re-create his movia role as Hoffmann for Summer Festival audiences. He appeared as Don Jose in "Carmen" and as Johann Strauss Jr. in "The Great Waltz" two years ago. Miss Bryner is a Broadway, Hollywood and TV star who won wide acclaim for her leading role in "The Consul." She is a sister of Yul Brynner who is currently appearing as the king in Rogers and Hammerstein's "The King and I" on Broadway. Mr. Jongeyans just finished the role of Jupiter Rex in Cole Porter's Por-ter's "Out of This World" on Broadway. He also appeared in "The Consul". All three are mem bers of the New York City Opera Op-era Company. Directing the show will be C. Lowell Lees, with Maurice Ab-ravanel Ab-ravanel as musical director and William Christensen as choreographer. choreo-grapher. The University of Utah today joined her two sister institutions of higher education in the state in a program to improve the health, agriculture and education of Iran. No other state will send a similar sim-ilar education mission to the little lit-tle country which may hold the keys of international peace, according ac-cording to Dr. A. Ray. Olpin, president of the university. Experts will be chosen by the three institutions to aid the Point Four program which is under the direction tl the Technical Corporation Administration for rural improvement in foreign n.i-tions. n.i-tions. The U. S. State Department Depart-ment will pay each, of the Utah schools a lump sum and the colleges col-leges then will pay all salaries and expenses of the experts nam ed. Under the program the University Uni-versity of Utah will receive $65,-000 $65,-000 to begin the project with more to come later, Dr. Olpin said. Utah will furnish selectees from the fields of public health, sanitation and nursing. Utah State presumably will furnish agricultural specialists, and Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University the education edu-cation and sociology personnel. State Department authorities said that many natural conditions condi-tions existing in Iran and Utah were similar which probably ac; counts for the fact that Utah schools have enrolled more Iranian Iran-ian students than any other state in the nation.
