Show MINER PULLS FAR ID DEATH Loses Balance In Climbing to Release Sldp Bearing Powder PARK CITY Raleigh Otho Perkins, Per-kins, 26, was killed instantly Tuesday when he lost his balance on the 1100 foot level of the Silver Sil-ver King Coalition mine and fell 110 feet. He lighted on the back of his head, fracturing his skull. Perkins and Carl Wilson were working on a raise from the Silver Hill station. A skip loaded with powder went by their station and Perkins climbed up to release it. Apparently he lost his balance and fell, according to Wilson. Born April 18, 1907, in Heber, a son of Roscoe W. and Mary Mc-Millen Mc-Millen Perkins, he had worked in Park City mines nine years and at the Silver King five years. He is survived by his parents, now living at Talmage; his widow, wid-ow, Mrs. Emma Perkins; a Smonth old daughter, La Von Perkins, Park City, and a brother, Ephr-aim Ephr-aim Perkins, Salt Lake. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed in Park City L. D. S. chapel Saturday at 2 p. m., with burial in Heber City cemetery. |
