SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR Now that President Roosevelt has issued his proclamation its seems quite certain that we will celebrate Thanksgiving a week early, on November 23, for Governer Blood has already signified his intent of following the Presidents lead in the matter. Perhaps one of the chief reasons for advancing it a week is to bring the date, if possible, into the good fall weather so that we will have something tangible to be thankful for. Of course we are still thankful that we are not yet in the war, but who can say how long that candition will last? And we certainly cant be thankful for the interference of government with business and the accompanying taxes and reports which today are taking up most of the little businessmans time. Though even in connection with this there is something to be thankful for. Plenty of the little businessmen in Duchesne will be thankful when they get their new social security reports made out and filed.
