The court sustained the first ground . of the motion to quash the first count of information and overruled the motion to quash as to the others. Counsel for the defendant made a motion to require the district attorney to make the bill of particulars more specific. The court took this matter under advisement and the matter was continued until the next term of court." Other Matters Listed Ruby S. Nelson vs. Earl Nelson Upon motion of the counsel for the plaintiff, this action was dismissed without prejudice. In the Matter of the Estate of Matt Zeager Upon motion of the attorney for the petitioner, Ray Dillman, leave is granted to file an amended decree of distribution. Dry Gulch Irrigation Co. vs. J. A. RECORD TRACES PROGRESS OF UINTAH BASIN In this special Shoppers Edition of the Record, we have chronolocompiled a news-flas- h took events which place of gy in Duchesne and the Uintah Basin twenty years ago when this great Inland Empire was suffering its birth pangs. During this period of one year, 1918, the Duchesne Record changed hands three times. It was a hand set paper, there being no linotype in the shop. News was relayed by word of mouth or by mall which was very irregular and undependable. The most remarkable omission in the years file is the failure to mention the signing of the Armistice when every issue is crammed full of news of the war and activities of the Red Cross. Some of the items in the imchronology are not vitally portant to history, but are vast, ly amusing and for that reason we have included them. Many of the persons men- tioned have died or moved away, but most of them still live in the Basin. WILL YOU BE A SUB FOR SANTA?
