Democrats have been busy this week holding rallies and doing individual campaigning. A rally was held at Mtn. Home Wednes-- i day evening when nearly every county candidate was heard from. Increasing interest is shown in the coming election by the large number of voters registering for the first time, some of them having been eligible to vote in previous elections, but not having interested enough to register. The Uintah Basin Record has arranged to give out election returns as rapidly as they are received from the various precincts. They will be relayed to the high school gym, where an election dance is being held by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. The i With the completion of the cement roof and the laying of a walk from the building to the street, the new Duchesne county and city jail is beginning to resemble the Imposing structure it will be when it is finished. The roof which was just completed Wednesday is cement, heavily reinforced with iron, the same construction as the outside walls of the building. Surrounding the structure will be a seven-fofence of net wire with three rows of barbs above attached to metal posts set in a three-foparapet of concrete. The project which comes under the auspices of the W. P. A., sponsored by Duchesne county and Duchesne city will be completed at the end of the November period, which begins on November 11th, it was stated.
