L Schafer Pacific Area manager The national convention will be beheld beheld beheld held on the west coast this year for the first time tim in the history of the organization The program will wm be national and international In scope with outstanding leaders participating me Lne junior Ked ted Cross will hold its own convention simultaneously and the Juniors will be honored by the senior group in the first plenary session May 2nd Juniors and uniformed senior groups wil be massed on the Civic AuditorIum Auditorium Auditorium Auditor Auditor- ium platform A thousand and more of the Junior members will form fonn a mammoth Red Cross flag Preliminary plans also provide for placing 2000 flags in the street and convention hall hail decor decor- Thousands of smaller flags will be used on street cars busses busses busses bus bus- ses and taxi cabs Some of the larger flags for for street decorations will be made by 75 chapters within with with- in the Pac Pacific ic area Mrs Johnstun Johnstun Johnstun John- John stun is informed Weber and Salt Lake counties are among the chapters whose special volunteer service committees are making flags No definite arrangements have been made Mrs Johnstun said concerning delegates from the Duchesne county chapter Anyone Anyone Anyone Any Any- one intending to make the California california california Cali cali- fornia trip at that time is urged d to contact her and be appointed appoint appoint- ed to act as a delegate |
