Show MUSICIANS l V WANTED ANTED BY ARMY FOR SERVICE IN HA HAWAII VAIl Information has been received by the United States Recruiting Station Ness Building that there are me approximately two twenty-two vacancies in the Infantry and Coast Artillery bands stationed in Hawaii It was v announced today by Colonel B B. B E. E Grey District Recruiting Officer Three Clarinetists two Base Horn players four Trumpeters three Bb Cornet players one French Horn player one Bass Drum and piano player one Saxophone Saxophone Saxophone Sax Sax- player one Flute and Piccolo Piccolo Pic Pic- colo player one Bass Drummer and one Drummer Bass or Snare are needed to fill vacancies In the Infantry band and one French Horn player one Saxophone player play play- er one Clarinetist and one Trap Drummer to play in orchestra are needed in the Coast Artillery bands To qualify for one of these vacancies vac- vac applicants in addition to being qualified musicians must be between the ages of 18 and 35 single and without dependents of good moral character and must be able to meet physical require require- ments Enlistments are for lor a three year period and assignment to bands will be made after those enlisting as musicians reach Hawaii Colonel Grey also stated that applicants between the ages of 21 hi t tand and 35 would be accepted for Air Corps Hamilton Field California Applicants for this branch of service service service ser ser- vice must be high school graduates graduates graduates ates or qualified mechanics radio radio radio ra ra- dio operators radio repairmen or having some knowledge of avia avia- tion For full information regarding any of the above vacancies callor call callor or write any of the following Army Recruiting offices Ness Salt Lake City Federal Ogden and the Armory Provo Utah and Federal Boise 17 Federal Pocatello and City Hall Twin Falls Idaho |
