Show The e Threshes Threshers Harvest f t 1 pi r 4 4 p t t i r r 9 II r rS r'S S v U lI TIME IME TO PLAN FOR RODEO DAY Just four foul weeks from next Monday is Labor day the rile bi big g day of t the he year for Duchesne and its annual Labor Day Rodeo Celebration Various comments from the fellows who vho usually run these affairs indr cate sate that they plan on the biggest celebration Duchesne Duchesne Duchesne Du Du- chesne has yet staged So far as we ve know kno though these are just comments to date and andre are re still awaiting await await- awaiting ing definite action and planning Each year that an event of this nature is put on it becomes easier or with the same effort expended the event automatically y becomes bigger and better The situation of Duchesne's City Park the wonderful wonderful won von facilities it affords for an event of this kind and the habit people acquire of looking toward a certain certain tain tarn to town wn to become outstanding in events with which it has had previous successes are all silent factors al already already already al- al ready assisting in preparation for this years year's rodeo All this is not sufficient however vever and with only thirty days remaining it is t time some concrete plans were vere under way with advertising out to inform the people of the various attractions offered for horses rid riders lS l'S and other performers Anyone who attended the July celebration at Bridgeland recently and there were vere plenty there can easily appreciate the advantage Duchesne's park nark has over other parks in the Basin of which Bridgeland is a good example The celebration was vas a good one but poor seating and parking accommodations rough grounds and uncontrolled dust worked a hardship on performers and patrons alike We draw v this comparison comparison ison not to belittle the efforts on the Bridgeland park which is just getting started and which has excellent prospects but to more clearly point out that Duchesne really has something to crow v about and since we ve have something and can talk lets let's START TALKING NOW SELF-HELP SELF FOR THE UINTAH BASIN Among the many interesting addresses scheduled for this years year's will viII be one by Wilford 0 O.
