Show Utah Pioneer Dies At Mt l Emmons Home ML Mt Emmons Mrs Sarah Norton Norton Norton Nor Nor- ton Babcock 73 died at her home in Mt Ml Emmons Sunday morning from cancer cancel of the stomach She had been ill for some time Mrs Babcock was born in ProVa Provo Provo Pro Pro- vo Va Oct 14 1861 a daughter of Isaac and Sarah CummIngs Norton Norton Norton Nor Nor- ton who had come to Utah with the early caily pioneers from Massachusetts She spent her early years pioneering in Southern South South- em ern and Eastern Utah with her parents They were forced to leave their home In Richfield in 1865 because of th the Indian raids at that time but returned there again later In 1880 she married Joseph Babcock Babcock Bab- Bab cock in Richfield During their early life the they helped pioneer in inmany inmany inmany many sections of Utah eventually settling in Price from which place they moved to Mt Emmons in 1915 They made their home in Mt lilt Emmons ever since She is survived by her husband I four sons Leroy Branch and John A. A Babcock of Mt Emmons and J. J Ernest Babcock of Price I Ia a daughter Mrs Mae Babcock Barne Barney of Los Angeles 24 grand- grand one great grandchild The one son John is at present in the Veterans' Veterans hospital in Ida Ida- ho Services were conducted in the Mt Emmons ward chapel Thursday Thursday Thursday Thurs Thurs- day afternoon with interment in inthe inthe inthe the Mt Emmons cemetery |
