Show UTAH UINTAH BASIN RECORD, DUCHESNE, ' Road Program For Duchesne County The Aurora Borealis ! OFFICIAL Meon Lak Camp F-3- CAMP NEWS. CCC COMPANY NUMBER 1345 On The Little Yellowstone 7 Edited By Urder Bircil.on of. Education W m. Casaday BLIZZARD STRIKES During last week old man winter worked overtime at our camp. When the smoke cleared away, the results were 16 below zero, one foot of snow, blocked highway and many frozen water pipes. The State Road crew cleared the highway on Sunday night. They reached camp about midnight and immediately started on their return trip. Victor Anderson drove the trac- tor to Moon Lake on Sunday to clear the road. It took him one hour and forty minutes to make the trip from the forks of the road to Moon Lake. When he re- turned to the river the road was completely filled with drifting snow. Ralph Rowley reported Monday that it would be necessary for him to secure aid to reach his ranch on Lake Fork. All Camp Program On Sunday the talent of the camp gave an entertaining program of song, music, speech and dancing. The program continued until the group was frozen out. Just another example of what can be done when each one is willing to do his part. The cold snap and the deep snow have not halted winter work on projects, but how we do envy the boys in the sunny climes. Hospital Pains The victims of the accident on Jan. 6th are all improving fast. Members Harold Mangum and Harold Davis have recovered from their injuries and have resumed their work on the project. Members Joe Anderson and Adolph Hoesch, the former suffering from an Injured shoulder and the latter from a broken arm, are still in the camp hospital. Denzel Adams has survived a case of measles that he contracted during the eariler part of the month. He is somewhat weakened from the attack, but is swiftly gaining his strength. This case was contracted in the valley. No other member shows any evidence of the disease. Member Richard Newman was taken to Roosevelt early Wednesday to be operated on for appendicitis. Dr. Saunders of Roosevelt and Dr. Anderson, the camp surgeon, performed the operation. Everything turned out nicely and the patient has been reported as recovering rapidly. several words that mean bliss and contentment to the hearts of the love-lorThey were S. W. A. L. K. A. H.
