C Winslow has decided to sever sever sever sev sev- er his connection as school board member at the end of his present term and has refused to run again Mr Winslow has been prominently prominently prominently identified with with the school of this county probably more so ao than any other individual for the past post twenty years Mr Winslow was one of the first settlers in this section of the country and homesteaded just west of the city of Duchesne Beginning Beginning Beginning Begin Begin- ning in 1907 he started in as principal principal principal prin prin- cipal of the schools at Roosevelt He taught there two or three years yearn and later came to Duchesne to teach In 1917 when the consolidation consolidation consolidation consoli consoli- dation of the schools schools were made he was made secretary and served served served ed In that capacity ity almost continuously continuously continuously contin contin- until four years ago when he was elected as a board member from tl this is district His time time is up this December and he refuses to let his name be used again on account of personal person person- al business matters Mr Winslow has been connected connect connect- ed with school matters in this county so long his absence will be conspicuously noticed His Hla place will be hard to fill |
