OPENS 1951-52 THEATER SERIES The University Theater's production pro-duction of "Cavalcade" by Noel Coward opened the 1951-52 major ma-jor theater series November 7 at 8:30 p.m. in Kingsbury hall at the University of Utah. The play also will be presented Nov. 9-10. Reserved seat tickets are on sale at the Kingsbury hall box office and at Glen Brothers Music Mu-sic Co., 74 So. Main, Salt Lake City. Directed by Dr. C. Lowell Lees head of the university's speech department, the play chronicles a generation of British history as mirrored by an English family fam-ily of the early 20th Century. It was produced in England and on Broadway. Other plays scheduled in the regular theater season are "Hold That Line," a new musical comedy com-edy by Raymond Levy, Dec. 5-8; "A Bell for Adano," a dramatization dramati-zation by Paul Osborn of the novel by John Hersey, Feb. 6-9; "An Enemy of the People," a vigorous play by Henrik Ibsen, Feb. 27-March 1; Shakespeare's As You Like It April 2-5 and a spring festival play to be chosen chos-en for some star May 7-10. Playgoers may still buy season sea-son tickets for $7.50 (center 15 rows and loges) and $5.50 (other choice seats on the mail floor and in the balcony). Mail orders are being accepted at both box offices for both season tickets and single performances. O |
