Show Hj;!''- After duo consideration wo feel to HH(t'.'K congratulate Frank J. Cannon on Sen- Pt alor Kearns' speech, dellvcrotl Tues day, It sounds so llko Mr. Cannon ! that we cannot bo mistaken In guess ing who was tho author. Only ono sentenco that would have identified it beyond cavil was omitted. Kearns should have said ho recalled tho time "When the heavens were as brass." That would have fixed it. It was a very well written speech. Wo cannot extend to Mr. Cannon any compliments on his editorial comments on tho speech. Having had tho matter in his own mind for several months it Is small wonder ho was able to commend com-mend it to tho careful attention of tho reading public. |
