Show A New York dispatch announces that Charles Frohman has received re-ceived a dispatch from Miss Ethel Barrymore, denying in the strongest strong-est possible terms the truth of the interview alleged to have been had with her by a reporter of a St. Louis paper, in which Miss Barry-more Barry-more commented caustically on American society women and their ways. Miss Barrymore says that in her interview by a young woman representing a St. Louis paper, American society women were not even mentioned. Those inimitable comediennes, Janet Melville and Evie Stetson, are making their final tour in vaudeville this year. After this present pres-ent season they will retire from the stage, and Miss Stetson, who in private life is Mrs. Sam Gumpcrtz, general manager of Dreamland and Long Beach, New York, will probably build a row of bungalows at the latter resort. They Avcre recently seen 'fit the local Orpheum. Another European act that has just arrived in New York is Jwan Tschernoff's famous troupe of trained animals, which are called "Tschernoff's Unique Circus Troupe." This trainer is in a class by himself, and abroad he has been applauded by both press and public for the fact that he obtains his remarkable results through kindness and patience.
