Show 1 : : " I William Jennings Bryan Named IM After four days of serious deliberation, marked with an earnest effort to .bring out the best, the Democratic National Convention, which assembled in Denver, beginning last Tuesday, named William Jennings Bryan of Nebraska as it's standard bearer. The convention was a record-breaker as well as a history maker. During the scsson last Wednesday at one time a demonstration broke out at mention of the name of Bryan which lasted for one hour and thirty-nine minutes. During that time the delegates from all but five states marched up and down the aisles; the delegates were shouting, gesticulating and using every imaginable method to show their enthusiasm. jH Friday, when the name of Mr. Bryan was presented, bedlam again jfH broke loose and the scene of Wednesday was practically repeated.
