Show u j UINTAH OIL FIELDS. An oil refinery to cost not less than two hundred thousand dollars will be built in the Uintah fild by the Tonopah and California interests ' now ready to start drilling .there, in the vent that in the new wells to b ' sunk they are enabled to match the m results already obtained by the Tunnel Tun-nel Oil company, which has a small S refinery on the ground. This is Mic report brought from the field by John T. Pope, president and manager of the Tunnel Oil company and a director of the Uintah Pioneer Oil company, recently formed by the ' Tonopah and California capitalists. It is known that the men behind the latter company are abundantly able to carry out plans of the magnitude they propose. Pope says there is no question of their intending to push their activities activi-ties in the new field on as large a I scale as results will warrant. W. A well which has been dug for f some time is now flowing at the rate ji of 1200 gallons a day, but th:s is ex pected to be a small flow in com- parison to some of the new ones. .
