Show TO BRIGHTON IN 2:35. The way the automobile business has increased in Salt Lake during the past twelve months in something wonderful. The autos sold arc not by any means all to city folks cither. Many go to towns and even villages throughout the state, because the people peo-ple who live in the country find them as useful as those who reside in the cities. The Consolidated Wagon and Machine company began the automobile automo-bile business a year or so ago, as an experiment and the experiment has proved so successful that the com-pany com-pany has had to lease extensive premises prem-ises for a garage at 151 South State street, opposite their main place of business, and will occupy it about October 15th. This company has the (exclusive agency for the "Northern," the finest machine made. It has just received a car load of the 1908 model "Silent Northern." It is a perfect machine, equipped with the latest improvements and as a hill climber is unsurpassed. It is a $2000 car and without doubt the best known and most popular machine made. As a test, Mr. Odell, manager of 1 the Consolidated Wagon and Machine company, made a trip to Brighton with a party in a Silent Northern a few days ago. We all know the road. It is exceedingly hilly and rough The distance, 32 miles, however, was coven d in two hours and thirty-live minutes with ease and comfort and the machine showed no sign of weakness weak-ness or distress.
