Its only object appears to have been to graft on the railroads for free transportation and on hotels for free entertainment It succeeded very well In both to tho benefit of a few of tho alleged nowspaper men and their "cousins, whom they reckon up by dozens, and their uncles and their aunts." Mr. It. W. Plttman will entertain at dinner at tho Commercial club Saturday Satur-day evening. Mr. Plttman hns for a number of years been tho local manager man-ager of tho Western Nowspaper Union, but is about to leave Salt Lako for Everett, Wash., to tako a very en-vlablo en-vlablo position. Tho dinner Is to say farewell to his Salt Lako friends and introduce his successor, Mr. It. V. Brown. |
