Show commissioners REFUSE TO CONSIDER PROJECT PLAN charles F brown engineering economist of salt sall lake city appeared before the county commissioners ners at a special meeting tuesday morning and unfolded before them the plans of a 6 water project which he has been working on since 1903 the new project according to his plans would irrigate acres of land in utah salt lake and tooele thoele counties an area of acres could be irrigated in tooele thoele and rush valleys under this new project his plans are to build a dyke around utah lake and use that for a reservoir site for the now new project by storing the water during the winter which now goes to waste in the jordon river he holds that the level of the lake could raised 4 or 5 feet through the use of the dikes and this storage water would bo be the supply for the new project mr brown ask the commissioners to buy his plans and specifications and water f filings for a sum of the sum of 1600 was to be paid immediately within a week and with thirty days by this move he stated tooele thoele county would receive prior ri right abt to his plans the commissioners refused to consider the offer his bastein haste in such a big matter was looked upon with much dis favor and the f feasibility aali ability of the i w whole rf r aw project i c gc maur iwas bots not 0 v looked it vw upon with the greatest enthusiasm enthusiast il ho he has hag made water filing for the project at the state engineers office betit but it is very probable that these filings will be rejected as the state tate engineer holds that all available water from utah lake hasteen has been appropriated |
