Show LDS WARD ENTERTAINS On Saturday evening, September Septem-ber 22, Bingham Ward officers and teachers held a party in : honor of Bishop Clinton S. Robi-1 son and - Ward Clerk Marvin Throckmorton, who have recently recent-ly moved from the ward. Setting was the Spruces in Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood canyon. President and Mrs. Lawrence T. Dahl and President and Mrs. Royal S. Beckstead of West Jordan Stake were in at-I at-I tendance as were two missionaries mission-aries Elder Douglas E. Morris and Elder Robert II. Beard, who each returned home from two-year two-year missions for the LDS church during the week of September 17. Both responded with brief remarks as did Pres. Dahl and Pres. Beckstead. Program and games were under the direction; of Virginia Harris. The program; consisted of a vocal solo by Sammy Sam-my Robi son and a comedy skit by Marilyn Thome, Jeniel Bor-en, Bor-en, Joan Beard, Lois Green and Janice Hocking and community singing. Elmo A. Nelson announced announ-ced the program. Hamburgers, cake and ico cream was served to 86 in attendance. In behalf of the officers and teachers of the ward, Bishop W. H. Harris presented pre-sented a table lamp to Bishop and Mrs. Robison and a lifetime Schaeffer pen and pencil set to Mr. Throckmorton. In charge of arrangements for the party were Mary Raby, Agnes Steele, Shirley Shir-ley Jensen, Aaron Beard, Miss Harris, Victoria Lyon, Bishop Harris, Mr. Nelson, John W. Anderson An-derson Jr., and Virginia Green. |
