ITS UP TO MINE OWNERS nevada legislators demand abolition of the card system carson nevada A sensation was sprung on a number of the members ot of the legislature and the mine aline owners association after the adjournment ot of the house friday afternoon A caucus ft was as held on the floor in which were represented a number of 0 members both in kavor avor ot of the police bill and those opposed to the measure I 1 U was decided that all members of 0 the lower house demand that the mine owners association do away with the card eye eya tern that has been adopted in goldfield and that before the police measure could be considered the body would have to be assured that this would be done the card system compels a man to foreswear fo his allegiance to tho the unions before he be can go to work in the mines and in the opinion of many of the th e members bembera this Is a feature of the existing conditions of the southern camp that must be done away with before the lower house acts on the measure
