SCOTCH EXPRESS WRECKED horrible accident on the great northern in england london the crowded scotch ex press train on the great northern railway leaving london Wed wednesday nesda night was wrecked outside of grantham at midnight the train should have stopped at grantham but failed to do so shortly after passing tho the station tho the train left the rails and then jumped a bridge the engine engina and several coaches were dashed over the embankment the engine turning turtle several coaches immediately took fire ten persons persona were killed and sixteen injured the engineer and fireman mere cre under the engine and the superintendent of the mall mail car la Is missing tho the failure of the brakes to work properly caused the accident
