Show urine tests. A Drug Recognition Expert Evaluation was performed. The female was released to a family member with a citation for DUI and Driving On A Suspended Drivers License. On August 30 police responded respond-ed to the area west of 1-15 on 1600 N. to assist a Orem officer with a traffic accident. Police arrived and learned the accident occurred within Lindon City limits. Officers spoke with the Orem officer and told him they would take the accident acci-dent as it had occurred in their city. Officers later learned after conducting conduct-ing records that one of the drivers was alcohol restricted and had several sev-eral DUI arrested documented in Spillman. During the investigation, the arrestee drove away and was stopped about two blocks away and administered Standardized Field tests and was later arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail with charges of DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Alcohol Restricted Driver. On August 30 an officer went to Wal-mart on report of a delayed grocery cart push-out theft. The officer of-ficer found that the suspects pushed a grocery cart out of the store without with-out paying for the items. A license plate was obtained on the vehicle and suspects have been identified by their driver's license photos and booking photos. Police have not yet been able to make contact with any of the suspects. This report will be referred to Investigations. On August 3 1 police responded respond-ed to a business for a report of a male who was being detained by employees. When officers arrived and met with store personal, they learned the male has been coming into the business and consuming alcoholic beverages without paying for them and then leaving the store. The male has also been previously trespassed. Management wanted the individual cited again for trespassing. tres-passing. One male was issued a citation for Retail Theft as well as Criminal Trespass. Police received a report from Wal-mart regarding a white male that pushed out a full cart of groceries grocer-ies without paying for them. The alleged crime occurred on August 30, at about 14:06 hours. In the surveillance video, the male is seen walking past all points of purchase and then out the grocery gro-cery side doors. The male is then seen walking through the parking lot towards the east, where he is last seen walking in between the Jiffy Lube and Arby's. The male is never seen getting into a vehicle or with anyone else. The male appears to be tall and lean. The male has a shaved Lindon" continued on Page 9 On August 23 police received a report that around August 14 an unknown suspect(s) took a package from the reporting party's mailbox. The package was confirmed to have been delivered by the post office. There are no witnesses at this time, nor suspect information. On August 25 an officer was dispatched to a fight in progress. The officer arrived and found two adult males had been fighting. One subject was issued a citation and one subject booked into the Utah County Jail. Police received a call from the Orem dispatch about a vehicle entering Lindon that could not maintain its lane of travel. An officer of-ficer located the vehicle with Utah Plate C646ZM northbound on State Street. The officer was advised that the complainant was following. follow-ing. Police stopped the vehicle at 100 E State Pleasant Grove and made contact with the driver who was identified by name and date of birth. The officer had the driver exit the vehicle and perform FST's. The officer noticed the driver had a hard time keeping his eyes open. The driver was unable to pass the FST's and found too impaired im-paired to operate a vehicle safely. The driver was later found to test positive for Methamphetamine's and Opiates in a urine dip test. The officer had a Drug Recognition Expert Ex-pert evaluation performed on the driver as well. On August 26 a complainant found a multi-colored striped bag on the couch downstairs where his granddaughter is living. A burnt spoon, needles, scales, small squares of tin foil were found in this bag. The complainant took the bag and had it upstairs and gave it to an officer when police arrived. On August 26 an officer met with the complainant regarding stolen sto-len vegetables from the vegetable stand located at about 50 South State Street on the west side. The complainant told the officer they usually leave fruit and vegetables in the stand over night and roll down the canvas blinds. Last night or this weekend, however, the blinds did not get rolled down. When the complainant complain-ant arrived this morning, she found that eight to ten boxes of tomatoes were missing. The cost of the the crates was $20 each, for a total loss of between $160 and $180. The complainant said she knew we would probably not find who is responsible, but asked that officers try to patrol the stand overnight, over-night, as they will be leaving some of the vegetable s and fruit there. The officer told her they would do what they could and advised her to take as much as possible when she leaves. There is no suspect information infor-mation on this case. A male suspect removed items from a sales display at Wal-mart and then took them up to the customer cus-tomer service. The male then said he was returning the items and presented pre-sented his Utah identification card for the return. The male received a gift card for the value of the merchandise mer-chandise and then left die store. The male was arrested at his home after hiding inside his bathroom bath-room and refusing to open the door for police. The suspect's wife also told police that he was not in the house after she had gone in and out multiple times to talk with him and tell him the police were looking look-ing for him. The male was booked into Utah County Jail on Theft and Obstruction. The officer requested charges on the female for Obstruction Obstruc-tion as well. On August 27 police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration regis-tration violation. The officer found the vehicle was not registered, was not insured, and the driver's license was denied. 1 The officer found one of the passengers was in possession of drugs and paraphernalia in a drug-free drug-free zone. Police impounded the vehicle and issued the ownerdriver a citation. The passenger was arrested ar-rested and booked for the drug violation. vio-lation. Police seized evidence related re-lated to these offenses and booked it at the station. On August 28 an officer was dispatched to a retail theft incident. The officer found a retail theft incident in-cident had occurred involving a juvenile. ju-venile. The officer identified the arrestee, ar-restee, cited them and released them to their parents. A juvenile male in state custody cus-tody had runaway from a proctor home. At that time he took a cellular cel-lular phone that belonged to the victim. While filing this report, the victim had been called by the detention de-tention facility that the youth was at and was advised that his phone had been recovered. The victim no longer wanted any further actions taken. On August 29 an adult female was arrested at the scene of a crash for DUI. The officer transported the female to the police station where she consented to breath, blood, and "Lindon " continued from Page 8 load. A second male was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on Possession of Consumption in a Drug-free Zone. An officer took a report of a stolen truck that was taken during the night. The owner of the truck said that he bought it on KSL.com a few weeks ago and he paid $1,500 cash for it and he has the title to it. The truck was taken sometime between the hours of 2200 on September Sep-tember 3 and 0600 September 4. The vehicle was locked and did not have any keys inside that he knew of. The truck also had a full tank of gas and has brand new tires on it. The truck is described as a 1999 Gray Ford Ranger with an extended cab. The truck has mi nor dents and dings all around and some fading paint on the hood area. There is a CD player in the truck but not much else. The truck bares license plate X271AJ and has the word "Davis" on the bottom left corner of the tailgate. The truck also has a gray toolbox in the bed of the truck that sits on the passenger passen-ger side lengthwise. The tool box was empty. The vehicle is being listed NCIC and an ATL is being put out. On September 5 a complainant complain-ant discovered someone entered into her house and stole some cash money. Two female subjects stole some money from a cashier at Wal-mart. (buzzed) head with brown hair and has a full beard and mustache. The male is wearing a gray T-shirt and red shorts. An officer went to Jiffy Lube and spoke with employees there to see if they recognized or saw the male that day. The officer was told that no one had and that the cameras they have did not point to the area where the male would have been. Police believe to have identi- fied the suspect. They have not been able to make contact with him. This case was forwarded to Investi- . gations. Police were contacted regarding regard-ing a retail theft in progress. Officers Of-ficers responded to an area business busi-ness and made contact with a male t suspect. Police found the male had stolen items from the store and was heavily intoxicated. Officers issued the arrestee a citation and released them to their parents. Due to the intoxication issue, officers made arrangements for this person to remain in their custody cus-tody for twenty-four hours. Police recovered the stolen property and released it to the store. On September 4 an officer was dispatched on a property damage dam-age call where a piece of metal had fallen off of a vehicle hitting the reporting party's windshield. One male was arrested for DUI, Possession Posses-sion of Paraphernalia in a Drug-free Zone, No Insurance, Suspended Drivers license, and an Unsecure |
