Show PG Council Approves City Budget for Fiscal Year 20 1 1 -1 2 Pleasant Grove Cily Council approved a resolution adopting and approving the city budget for the fiscal year 20112012, adopting a budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2011 and ending June 30, 2012 and determining a property tax to be levied upon all real and personal property with in the cily and a comprehensive compre-hensive fee schedule at the city council meeting held June 21, 2011. The motion to adopt was unanimous. Along with this the city council also passed a resolution resolu-tion adjusting and amending the revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year 2010-201 1 and including the Pleasant Grove Redevelopment Agency budget. Also approved was a resolution reso-lution to sign an agreement between Utah County and Pleasant Grove City for a community com-munity Activities Grant for repairs re-pairs and improvements to the city's Veterans Memorial Pool Slides. Another resolution authorizes the mayor to sign a quit claim deed from Pleasant Grove City to Pleasant Grove City to combine six existing exist-ing parcels of property that is owned by the city into one parcel. par-cel. The property is located at 100 E. 100 South and contains about 3.65 acres. The council felt that combining these properties prop-erties was in the best interest of the cily. In addition, the council coun-cil passed a resolution for an agreement between Mountain Land Association of Governments Govern-ments and Family Services Department De-partment and Pleasant Grove City to provide congregate meals and services for individuals indi-viduals who are 60 years of age and older. It was also noted that senior se-nior citizens using this service will receive information regarding re-garding the program through the Pleasant Grove Senior Citizen Center at the following places: Simply Seniors, Tim-panogos Tim-panogos Times, Monthly Utilities Utili-ties letter, Pleasant Grove Web Page, word of mouth and phone calls. They also offer low cost or free events and programs. The contract also notes that persons age 60 or over who arc frail, homcbound for reason of illness or incapacitating disability, dis-ability, or otherwise isolated, shall be given priority in the delivery of services under this contract. In addition the spouses spous-es of the older person regardless regard-less of age or condition may receive a home delivered meal if, according to criteria determined deter-mined by MAG, receipt of the meal is in the best interest of the homcbound older person. |
