Show The Buskers to Perform at Sunday's Concert in the Park Series . r by Linda Butler Enjoy an evening of fun and folk music with The Buskers Busk-ers and Doc Taylor at Pleasant Grove's Concerts in the Park on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on the east side of the Community Center Lawn, 547 S. Locust Drive. The Buskers are folk musicians mu-sicians (the name "busker" means "street musician") who perform in the lively and harmonious har-monious style of the Kingson Trio, Limeliters, and the Clancy Brothers. Their repertoire ranges from Irish and Scottish sea chanties of the early 1800s to folk tunes of the 50s and 60s. The Buskers are Scott "Feedback" Norton on guitar and banjo Lon "The Performer" Keith on tenor guitar, tambourine tambou-rine and conga drum; Steve "Fingers" Hayes on 5 string banjo, and 12 string guitar; and Doc "Doc" Taylor on bass. The Buskers have performed per-formed widely throughout Utah County, delighting audiences audi-ences for 24 years. They have opened for the Four Freshmen, The Buskers wilt perform a variety of fun folk tunes at Sunday's Concert in the Park. the Everly Brothers, the Kingston Kings-ton Trio, and performed at the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle. Whenever the Buskers perform, fun is the order of the day. The Buskers are delighted to return to Pleasant Grove to play. This concert will be sure to please young and old alike. "Folk music is fun," said Steve Hayes "Come prepared to have a good time. You should go away from this concert feeling better than when you came," he added. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for your comfort at the outdoor venue and enjoy an evening of fun, upbeat music. If you want to remember when music was fun, The Buskers is your brand of band.
