Show State Files Amendments To Gas Storage Bid An amended notice of hearing was filed this week with the Utah Board of Oil and Gas Conservation. The Notice Not-ice concerns an application applic-ation by Williams Energy Ener-gy Company to enlarge their gas storage pond north of Moab. According to the amended am-ended notice, the pur -pose of the hearing will be to determine whether the Board shoi'ld enter an order permitting and authorizing Williams Energy Company to dispose dis-pose of salt water by injecting the water into the Paradox Formation through a well drilled by Great Lakes Carbon Corporation. The board will also determine whether the water should be injected into some formation other than the Paradox through this same injection in-jection well or some other well. They will also be discussing whether or not the company com-pany should be allowed to increase the size and capacity of the existing evaporation pits or construct con-struct new pits and to increase the capacity of the exisiting storage cavern. All interested persons, per-sons, corporations or firms are asked to be in attendance at the meeting, which will be held in the Governor's Board Room of the State Capitol at 10 a.m. on March 14. |
