Show Green River News Motes By Nila MacKay ZEPHYR PETITION The petition from the citizens ci-tizens of Green River concerning con-cerning the California Zephyr Ze-phyr was side-stepped by Governor Rampton. Though he stated that he does support sup-port such action and is anxious anx-ious to keep this service in operation, he refused to sign the petition. He said prior plans are already working towards this end. A NEW J.P. IFJeb. 4th, Max Scott of Green River was appointed as Justice of the Peace for Emery County and the City cf Green River. Mayor Halt and the County Commissioners Commission-ers met at Castle Dale to make the appointment. Only one application was filed. Anyone interested in filing to run for this office must file in May. One judge will hold both the office of precinct pre-cinct and county judge.
