Show Bible Assembly in October Will Draw Over 900 D elegafes fo Mod) The local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses will be hosts to a three-day Chns-tion Chns-tion Bible assembly to be held in Moab. Oct. 15-17. , In making the announcement, announce-ment, Deane Orillith, piesid-ing piesid-ing minister of the local congregation, con-gregation, said plans are being be-ing made to accommodate 900 delegates. The facilities of the Grand County High School will be used for the gathering. Representatives Rep-resentatives lrom sixteen congregations will be present, pres-ent, coming from Grand June-ion, June-ion, Delta, Paonia, Montrose, Mont-rose, Monte 'Vista, Alamosa, Center, Canon City, Salida. Aspen, Glenwood Springs and Rille. The three-day program wih include a variety ot talks on Bibie themes. Groups will discuss ministerial problems and demonstrations will teach how Christians should conduct con-duct Bible studies. Sessions will be conducted morning;, aiterneons and evenings wnh a baptism of new ministers on Saturday morning at 9:15. Theme lor the gathering has been set as "Keep on Doing Do-ing It More Fully." This is based on the Bibie scripture, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 1,10. Samuel B. Friend, minister and district supervisor for the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York will be feature speaker and will serve as chairman of the event. Friend is a graduate of the Watchtower Bibie School of Gilead, located in Brooklyn, New York. Assisting Assist-ing Friend and serving as Convention Manager will E. W. Seele, Jr., minister and circuit supervisor for Je hovah's W'nesseos in south ern and western Colorado anu eastern Utah. Highlight cf the three-day meeting will be Sunday, Oed. 15, at 2 p.m., when Friend will speak on the subject. "Can You Live Forever? Will You?" All meetings , are public and no collection will be taken. |
