Hewitt, director of the Utah Geological and Mineral Survey said he was disappointed but hopeful: "Over the long run, Kaiparowits will simply have to come into production. It has a good, high BTU coal of low sulfur content and is better than most Western coals -- even better than that being taken from the strip mines in Wyoming and Montana." Governor Calvin L. Rampton said he could not comment on the report re-port of Secretary Rogers' Rog-ers' action until he had seen the letter sent to ton- Sen. u i; Bennett, a st,nal1 er of the 11 wou gjl mecnt latr ull m Secretary L7 his stateSeSy out that prni L made from Y der construe? diet that it 3: OA ly affect air 5:" the Lake p0 & and that it risk ing visibiS-f Colorado.
