Show Mishaps Mar Police Week In Moah Two minor accidents accented ac-cented the week of the Moab Police Department 'beginning on Nov. 1, when Arpod Ringhoffer, driving a 1960 Ford Falcon was hit by Kevin Johnson in a 1970 Ford. About $450 damage da-mage was done to the Johnson auto and about $300 to the Ringhoffer car. Ringhoffer was cited for failure to yield the right of way. On Nov. 2, Flora Perkins, Per-kins, driving a 1969 Chevrolet Chev-rolet pickup, backed into a 1969 Ford- owned, by.. Terry McKinnon in itjhe-high itjhe-high school parking ,-lot doing about $100 damage to the Ford. No citations were issued since the ac cident occurred on private pri-vate property. Chief of Police Melvin Dalton reported that about $300 of vandalism had been reported at the high school on Halloween night when someone threw three large rocks' through three windows there. Chief Dalton reported that several complaints had been received about persons discharging BB guns and 22 rifles within the ci'ty limits. Dalton said that no warnings would be issued and if someone is found shooting in the city, they will be cited. Dog owners were warned warn-ed that if their animal bites anyone, the dog must be confined for a period of ten days to be checked for rabies. This can and will be observed by the police department. Cost for keeping the animal under confinement must be borne by the dog owner, own-er, Chief Dalton said. |
