Show River Still Running High, Report Shows Bureau of Reclamation Reclama-tion figures released for July indicated that precipitation pre-cipitation during June in the Colorado River Basin was again above normal. Rainfall ranged from one-half normal to twice normal in the San Juan Basin area and about a third above normal over the entire basin. Consequently, Conse-quently, the report states the April -July runoff is now set at 10.5 million acre-feet. The flow of the Colorado Colo-rado River through Westwater Canyon has decreased to 11.000 cubic feet per second and will recede to about 4.000 c.f.s. in August. Cataract Canyon is down to 16,000 c.f.s. and will recede to about 7.000 c.f.s. in August. Aug-ust. The report notes that Lake Powell is now at elevation 3.641, an alltime high. |
