Show Island Road Plan Group Sets Visit For the first time an three years, members of the Professional Pro-fessional Road Committee of the National Park Service will study the road development develop-ment in the Island in the Sky area of Canyonlands National Park. ' A three-man committee will arrive in Moab and study the routes and surveys of the road to determine whether wheth-er or not development fits into the cniteria set by the National Park Service on road Construction. En charge of the survey will be Raymond L. Freeman, Free-man, Deputy Associate Director Di-rector of 'fie professional services department. With him will be Dr. Robert M. Linn, Chief Scientist for the National Park Service and William C. Everhart, Director Direc-tor of Harper's Ferry Center Cen-ter who wiill act in an interpretive inter-pretive area capacity. All three are from the Washington, Washing-ton, D.C. office. This same committee has done extensive work with park service officials on proposed pro-posed roads in the Needles section of the park. |
