Show Constitution Program Set At Southeast School The annual U.S. Constitution Constitu-tion program will be held on May 23. 1977 at 7:30 p.m. at I Southeast Elementary School. A second performance will be given t 9:00 a.m. May 27. This year's program will be ; under the direction of the 5th j grade teachers and Mrs. Elaine Schauerhamer, music ( teacher. Mr. Larry Dean's class will present a skit based on events that led to the Independence of our country. A play entitled "The Black Man's Quest for Freedom" will be part of their presentation. Mr. Tom Warren's class w ill emphasize the need for physical physi-cal fitness of children in today's world. Awards will be given later to the fifth graders who met the Presidential Physical Fitness standards. His class will give a unique demonstration of the new Movement Education program at Southeast. Mrs. Helen Madsen's class will present a scries of very short skits. A sheet of questions will be given to the audience a quiz related to the final examination. The audience will answer the questions according to how well the students portray their roles. The skits are all "tongue in cheek humor." not to put down the importance of the U.S. Constitution. Principal D. S. Wimmer will present trophies to a boy and a girl from each class based on a point system (Score on final exam, citizenship, daily assignments, as-signments, participation in discussions, etc.). The public is invited. |
