Show Arches Visitor Talks Slated For the Week The schedule of Interpretive Interpre-tive Programs at Arches National Na-tional Monument was announced an-nounced by Park Service Officials Of-ficials this week. SUNDAY: "Ranger Activities" Activi-ties" given by Ranger Miller. Mil-ler. MONDAY: "Sandstone and Salt:" Ranger Taylor. TUESDAY: "The First Visitor" Vis-itor" Ranger Peck WEDNESDAY: "The Restless Rest-less Earth" Ranger Miller. Mil-ler. THURSDAY: "John Wolfe, A Self-Contained Traveler" Ranger Parkinson FRIDAY: "Why An Arch?" Ranger Parkinson SATURDAY: "Communities of Life" Ranger Peck These programs arc held , in the campfirc area of the Devil's Garden Campground each evening at 9:00 p.m. Daily conducted hikes through the Fiery Furnace area of the Arches begins at 8 a.m. each day. The hikes are approximately 2-hours in length. Visitors interested should meet in the parking area of the Firey Furnace. |
