Show PETS DIE FROM HEAT - Several cases of pets being left in parked automobiles in the extreme heat have been reported recently, according to Barbara Ozment, Humane Society President. Temperatures Tempera-tures inside an automobile on even a moderately hot day can reach upwards of 180 degrees within a very short time, even with windowns open, she stated, and a child or pet can suffer heat prostration and death. She advises that everyone every-one keep their car in the shade-at shade-at all times if a child or pet is in it, and even then, they should not be left unprotected for any J length of time. |
