Show Community Comments Moab's second annual Jeep Safari is causing a lot of early ear-ly spring excitement here, and we expect to see a lot of enthusiastic family groups in the valley to take part. The Safari is again being sponsored by the Moab Chamber of Commerce, and that organization is due some genuine commendations commenda-tions for their efforts. It will be impossible to tell, until Saturday, just how many will attend. And that in itself it-self creates some problems in planning for the committee commit-tee headed by lny Nelson. Picking routes, marking trails, and even cleaning up afterward makes a lot of work for those involved. We take our hats off to the committee, com-mittee, and wish them well in their efforts this week. -SJT- For those here who thought they might not get a chance to take part in the first real world premiere of a motion picture ever held in Utah, they can quit worrying, according ac-cording to the Moab Jaycees. The local ''club, along with other Jaycee chapters in thn state, is selling tickets to the . Salt Lake City premiere showing of "Blue," filmed in Moab last summer, and slated slat-ed for its big opening in the city on April '23. So, for those who want to attend the big Salt Lake City opening, and rub elbows with the stars and other dignitaries dignitar-ies there, get in touch with the Jaycees. They'll fix you up. (For those who just want to see the picture without ail the fuss, they can wait a day and see it at the Grand-Vu). |
