Show Funeral Held In Monticello For Nettie Redd Funeral services were held in the LDS Chapel at Monti'cello, Saturday, for Mrs. Nettie. Rebecca Rose Redd, 75, chosen as Mother of the Year in. 1957 by the Southeastern Utah District of the WFC. Mrs. Redd passed away Thursday in the San Juan County hospital hos-pital of natural causes. She was born July 16, 1892, at Weston, Idaho, to Hyrum O. and Catherine Hoopes Rose. She married L. Frank Redd, Feb. 14, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She served an LDS mission in the Cen-tural Cen-tural States, and was a former for-mer missionary in the San Juan Stake. Survivors are: her husband; hus-band; one son, Monticello attorney F. Bennion Redd; daughters, Mrs. C. Alfred (Maxine) Frost, Mrs. Doyle Doy-le B. (Marilyn) Rowley, all of Monticello; Mrs. Peter (Helen Klaire) Binder, Hartlepool, England; Mrs. Rae R. Smith, and Miss Lucy Lu-cy Redd, both of Salt Lake City. Als0 21 grandchildren; grandchild-ren; one great-grandchild; brothers sisters, Dennis L., Blanche, both of Salt Lake City, Donald, and Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin W. Kirkham, both of Los Angeles. Burial was in the Monticello Monti-cello Cemetery under direction di-rection of the Grand Valley Val-ley Mortuary, Moab. |
