| Show Archeological Group Will goTo go goTo goTo To Mesa Verde The Moab Archeological Society So clety will meet In front of ot the Grand county court house at Moab Saturday morning at 8 a am a.m. m leaving from there on the first field trip of ot the newly formed or 1 going to Mesa Verde national monument in Colorado According to Jack West president dent of the society the purposes of the trip are to acquaint members members mem memo bers with a well preserved prehistoric pre historic Indian ruin area to give them an opportunity to study artifacts artifacts ar ar- ar and other ather Indian information information mation matlon at the monument museum and as an out door together get for the group The Itinerary will Include visiting visiting vis vis- vis parts of the monument on Saturday afternoon and again on 00 Sunday morning Camping facilities facilities ties are available at the monument as are cabins and the lodge for members wishing them A special meeting of the society has been called for June 27 at 8 pm p.m. in the courthouse Mr West reported Mr Charlie R. R Steen Region 3 chief archeologist for the national park service will be the guest speaker All members and anyone interested in hearing Mr Steens Steen's talk are invited to attend the meeting |
