F Reeder Found Dead At Crescent William F r Reeder 88 veteran veteran veter veter- an an oilman oHman of Grand county and anda a resident at Crescent for 23 years was as found dead on his bed In his cabin Tuesday evening eve fling ning at about Trooper C. C Merlin Brown of the Utah Highway Patrol had called to talk to Mr Reeder on matters of business When the aged a ed man did not respond to his knock ck Trooper Brown at at- t tempted to enter and found the thedoor thedoor thedoor door locked Looking through a 11 window the officer saw Mr R Reeder er lying on his bed Sheriff R. R C. C Burr was notified noti noti- fled fied and In company with Dr H. H V V. Temple and Justice of the I P Peace Bert Dalton drove to Crescent Wt h Trooper Brown they entered the cabin and found that Mr feeder Reeder had been dead for perhaps three or four tour hours Apparently he had suffered suf suf- feted a heart attack From all indications Ind Mr Reeder who earlier in the day had driven to Thompsons for hl his mall mail had become suddenly Ill and after partially undressing had lain down on the bed He lIe evidently evidently- died in Ms his sleep A search of the ithe cabin disclosed dis dis' disclosed closed a seal sealed d envelope dated July 25 last 25 last Friday which Friday which contained the thelast last will and testament tes tes- tes of Mr Reeder A notation nota tion on the envelope asked that thata a brother John H. H Reeder Villanova Road Pittsburgh Pa be notified not Sheriff Burr telephoned the brother in Pittsburgh and on his instructions the body is being being heIng be he- ing shipped to that city for burial A sister In Pittsburgh also survives The Mitchell Funeral Funeral Funeral Fu Fu- Fu- Fu Home took charge harge of the body and removed it to Price from where it will be shipped to Pittsburgh D. D A. A Skeen of Salt Lake City attorney for Mr Reeder and a personal friend was also no no- tilled He stated that funeral services probably will w be held at Moab since Mr Reeder had spent most of his life in this county and had a host hot of friends here Partner Killed a Month Ago Mr Reeders Reeder's partner and time long associate Joseph Weddle was also found dead deall in his cabin rabin at Crescent on June 21 this year but in his case death was caused by a gunshot wound through his head A coroners coroner's jury which Investigated found found- that the gunshot wound was self self inflict ted t- t ed id sustained either accidentally accidental ly or in some other manner There were some indications of suicide Mr Reeder who spent much of the time in recent years at Salt Lake City had arrived in Crescent from Salt Lake City a afew tew few hours after Mr Weddle's death and in company with George of Thompsons found his his' partners partner's body lying l ing ingon on his with a revolver held In n his right Tight hand and pointed in the direction of the gunshot wound in his head Mr Reeder was never convinced convinced convinced con con- vinced that his partner had killed himself either purposely or accidentally and Insisted h that t he was the victim of foul play For the past month Reeder Ree Ree- der Jer had conducted an investigation gation gatlon an an and l stated a few days before e his death that he would formally ask that the Weddle Weddie case ase be reopened William F F.
