F Asimus owner of of the local hardware store and numerous farms in the valley died at the Price hospital where he had hlad been a patient for more than a year Funeral services will be behe beheld beheld he held Id at Price on Thursday with burial in Price cemetery Mr Asimus was born in Germany Germany Germany Ger Ger- many and came to the United States when he was 18 years old After working at various trades in the east he and a brother came west as far as Ord Neb where they took up home home- There Mr Asimus married married married mar mar- ried Jenny Haley HallY and their first child a daughter was born in a sod house on the claim After After Atter Af At- ter a prairie fire destroyed all their buildings and crops they moved t to Shelton Wash where Clay Asimus was born and Mrs Asimus died Mr Asimus left the two children in Washington and came to Utah where he worked for fore a nursery for several several sev sev- sev-I sev eral years and then opened the Consolidated and Machine Machine Ma Ma- chine company store at Rich Rich- field He moved to Kansas and entered the retail grocery business business busi busI- II ness and was WlaS postmaster for several several several sev sev- eral years He was married to Caillie Otte who died April 23 1943 During the peach boom Mr and Mrs Asimus cam earn to Green- Green river in the year year- 1909 and set setup setup setup up a store in the same building as the Underwood drug store He moved to the present location location loca loca- tion In 1912 1 In December 1946 after arter se s sev several veral v v- veral eral years of ill health Mr Asimus As As- imus entered the Price hospital where with the exception of a short visit home in the early spring he had remained until his death Mr Asimus was a member of Orient lodge No 15 F F. F A. A M M.
