Show INSTRUCTIVE MEETING OF MOAB T P-T A IS VEO HElO A very interesting and instructive insh meeting of the Moab Teachers Parent association was held at the Star hall Monday evening with Mrs H C Good Good- Goodman Goodman man presIdent of the organization presiding The Teachers Parent voted to con contribute tribute 25 to the high school band to tobe tobe be used In buying uniforms Reports from other organizations indicated that the entire town ton will support the drive to raise about to buy uniforms The Women's Literary club will give 20 while the Lions cl club b members have pledge themselves to give at least 40 The Thursday club will donate 5 and andin In addition the members will each buy buya a ticket to the band concert March 30 The Alumni assocIation will also con con- contribute tribute a part of the funds realized from its annual show to be givers given April 6 Bandmaster E W stout stated that the band would Bite gh e a concert and musical program on on- March 30 and hoped there would be a large atten- atten attendance dance to swell the fluid for fOl purchase of uniforms An interesting program was given at atthe atthe the meeting which was opened with community singing under the direction of Mr Stout The high school boys glee club sang several Miss Miriam Taylor rendered a solo accompanied by Miss Cecil Taylor Miss Jean Woodside home economics teacher at the high school gave a very instructive talk on the subject ot of Nutrition A trumpet solo by Dr C M Hughes accompanied by C M Tozier followed A demonstration in the culling of hens green en by MorrIS Johnson and Grant ant Dalton two boys in the agrIcultural agricultural tural department of the hIgh school H B Evans teacher was very interest interest- interesting interesting I ing and informative A demonstration In mechanic arts of which Wayne R McConkie Is teacher was given by George Learning and Kent Johnson and WM was of much interest |
