Show miss deinora henderson left saturday for her home in idaho where she will spend the summer months jack was in from the in vanadium camp in dry valley several days tats week mrs grace stocks and children were arrivals last week from columbia and will make their home in moab attorney and mrs A robertson returned sunday from a trip to price and provo miss beulah left the last of the week tor her home at scipio utah where she will spend the summer vacation mr and mrs frank williams and children left yesterday for their home at castleton where they will spend the summer mrs allmer bronson returned the first of the week from monticello where she had spent several days visiting relatives mr and mrs carroll J meador and children spent the fore part of week at grand junction returning tuesday evening rev and mrs william E parks and sons left tuesday for salt lake city to attend the state convention of bap aist churches mr and mrs rufus hirons and daughter of grand junction visited relatives in moab the last of the week mrs hirons Is a daughter of perry poy mr and mrs ervin palmer of blanding brought their infant daughter to the moab hospital last week for medical treatment the child Is proving slowly mr and mrs claude N taylor and daughters of faulta visited relatives in moab saturday and sunday mr taylor reports that cattle in the book mountain region north of westwater wintered well in spite of the severity of the weather and there were but slight losses mrs tom taylor and children donna ann and tom jr miss edeen christensen loys maxwell and bill mellenthin motored to salt lake city the last of the week mrs taylor and son returned yesterday the others remaining in salt lake city for a visit with relatives i virgil baldwin who recently returned from portland oregon and who has been working in the monticello branch of the moab garage company the past few weeks was transferred to the Green river banch this week mr baldwin and family passed through moab this week en route to Green river i mr and mrs H E baty and daughter evelyn were down from their pack creek ranch yesterday mr baty reports that cutworms cut worms have been play ting havoc with his crops this spring having destroyed about 10 acres of alfalfa besides doing extensive damage to other crops damage by the cutworm pest is also reported from auson mesa ranches coach and mrs glenn W men ill and glen quigley went to salt lake city the last of the week to attend the state high school track meet glen entered in the javelin event but did not place they returned to moab tuesday V P walker Is improving the appearance pe arance of the moab barber shop this week A new barber pole now decorates the sidewalk in front of the place of business and the front of the building has also been painted the interior will be completely decorated during the next few weeks principal M J andrews of the grand county high school accompanied by mrs andrews and sons will leave this week for salt lake city they will probably spend most of the summer at logan where principal andrews will attend summer |
