| Show PERFECT DINOSAURS FOOT PRINT FOUND AT SEGO grand junction sentinel W F miles manager of the texaco company here spent july 4 at sego utah visiting the mines from which the coal Is mined and while there he had the fortunate opportunity to see a dinosaurs foot a rare geological relic dug from one 0 the mines and an imprint made of it mr miles stated that the toot of the dinosaur had turned to stone in the probable thousands of years since its existence the geological expert of the state of utah was in charge of the work and he superintended super intended the digging it from the rock A perfect cast was was made of it to be sent to the institute and the stone foot was kept there for the purpose of making further casts to be used in geological research work the foot measured about 4 feet in diameter and other footprints were found in the mine which measured 12 feet apart three of the toes protruded and could be very plainly distinguished thus maeng the cast more perfect there has been a great deal of geological research work done in that section and the geologists have met with great success finding many evidences of ancient animal life |
